We believe that vitality and freedom are accessible to everyone. Working as a yoga instructor, personal trainer and massage therapist, respectively, we both study and appreciate the sciences of kinesiology and anatomy. And yet, it is the healing arts- of Yoga, Chi Kung, and Sound Healing- that truly facilitate the positive transformations within our clients.

Sarah Jenness Yoga

A graduate of Sri Swami Satchidananda's Integral Yoga Institute, Sarah has completed Piedmont Yoga’s Iyengar-inspired Teacher Training, and is a certified "Relax and Renew" restorative yoga teacher through Judith Lasater’s accredited program. She holds a corrective exercise specialization (CES) as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Sarah leads guided meditations through the yogic system of the chakras, and has been a dedicated meditator since 1993. Fascinated by anatomy, alignment, and happy joints, Sarah’s yoga instruction encourages a precise yet playful approach to practicing the asanas. Inspired by the precision alignment principals of Iyengar Yoga, Sarah's personal training style restores natural posture and promotes healthy joint function. She specializes in senior fitness and has several clients over the age of 80!

With a lifelong background in dance, Sarah began meditating and practicing yoga to heal from injuries and calm her busy mind. It worked wonders. As a young person, she struggled with depression and anxiety. However, determined to work from within, she danced, meditated, ate kale, and Yoginied her way to a healthy, balanced life. In college, she worked in the holistic health industry, managing natural foods stores, attending herbal medicine school, and teaching the dance, yoga, and fitness that contributed to her own journey of healing.

Sarah gives gratitude and love to her teachers... Sri Swami Satchidananda, Judith Lasater, Donald Moyer, Swami Divyananda, Luisah Teish, Anodea Judith, Lady Yeshe Rabbit, Ruth Schwartz, and Gay White.
